Maria was born and raised in New York. As a child she was always involved with art, from drawing to painting, but it is photography that has captured her imagination. Maria graduated from The Hallmark Institute of Photography in June of 2007. Maria has two photographs in the permanent collection at the Hallmark Museum of Contemporary Art. She has also been a finalist for the Best of College Photography Annual of 2007.   Maria has had art and photographic pieces displayed in The Levine Art Gallery in Mahopac, New York, and had a photograph purchased to be part of the Bernard & Maria Hassell Collection in 2001.
